Jewelry Illustration By Dominique Audette

With almost 1000 drawings, this comprehensive book leads students systematically through the development of forms rendered in perspective, starting with simple boxes and working up to curvilinear jewelry objects. Beyond teaching the ability to render forms clearly for clients, this instruction will hone the ability to think three dimensionally.

This book was originally written in French and published in Quebec where the author teaches jewelry illustration. The English-language edition features a new layout and more durable cover, but otherwise retains every powerful image of the original. There are only a few books about jewelry rendering, and none of them reaches back to the basics with the depth or detail found here.

Daniel ★★★★★

I was worried it might just be theory, but the step-by-step path from basic boxes to complex curves really clicked for me. Having almost a thousand drawings to reference makes practicing perspective feel much less intimidating.

Sebastian G. ★★★★★

Working through the simple boxes first really helped me grasp the perspective before tackling complex ring forms—the progression is so logical. I’m only on page 50 and already my sketches have more depth and accuracy.

Brian ★★★★★

I’m an absolute beginner with drawing, but the way this book builds from simple boxes into curved jewelry shapes finally made perspective click for me. The sheer number of drawings—nearly a thousand—means there’s always a new example to follow when I get stuck.
