To protect the graphite from rapid oxidation at high temperatures, it is housed in a heavy-duty ceramic refractory sleeve, significantly extending the tool's lifespan compared to standard graphite crucibles.

Pro-Tips for Longevity

• Seasoning: Always preheat your crucible to 200°C for 15-20 minutes to eliminate any absorbed moisture before your first melt.

• Care: Avoid dropping cold metal ingots into a red-hot crucible to prevent mechanical shock.
