Bending curves into 1/8" flat stock used to take me three passes with a hammer and still look lumpy. This mandrel dropped into the bending block and the metal wrapped clean around it on the first try. Fit was snug, no wobble at all.

Wasn't sure how much the mandrel would help with tighter curves, but it makes forming metal so much easier than muscle alone. It fits the bending block solidly and doesn't wobble while I work. Shaping brackets by hand went from frustrating to almost fun.

The mandrel slid right into my bending block and made short work of some 1-inch copper tubing I'd been fighting with. Curves come out smooth instead of kinked now. Just remember it's sold on its own, not with the block.
