Took a while to get the hang of it, but once I did, that 3mm working width lets me shape the tightest little domes cleanly without any slipping. Pairing it with the wider stake first totally saves time on thicker stock.

Finally got around to trying this for a tiny domed cuff and the 3mm width gave me way more control than I expected for such a narrow line. I used the M-114A first as suggested and the transition to this stake was seamless. Really clean shaping without any slipping.

The narrow 3mm working width is perfect for the delicate domed bracelet I was shaping, and it moved smoothly through the metal without catching. I paired it with the M-114A to start the curve first, and the transition to this stake made the finish much cleaner.
